I am a registered nurse working at a large hospital and R. works in construction. We both work hard and make pretty decent money in our jobs. I guess like a lot of young people when we had the cash in hand we spent it on things we wanted and didn’t really think about saving money for anything, much less a down payment on a home. Life was good and we didn’t know much about managing our credit because none of our friends and family ever told us much about it. Maybe they didn’t know much themselves. Even though we knew each other a long time before when we got married maybe our attitude started to change. Renting was alright but we really wanted a home of our own, someplace that we could call ours. We sort of knew that owning a home would be good financially too, at least that’s what it looked like for people we knew that owned their homes. So when we started to talk to some people about buying and borrowing it was very disappointing to hear that it would be difficult for us to get a loan to buy a home. Well, we could still rent, life was still good enough. Maybe it was easier not to think about what we would have had to change to get a home but we still wanted one very badly. I was surfing the net one day, just looking for a place to rent. I had heard about rent to own houses. A lot of people are advertising them in our area. We looked into some of them and it just didn’t seem like a very good deal. When we found your program on a Sunday we called right away because it sounded so different. We began to hope that you might really have a way to help us get a home, a way that fit our circumstances best. We wanted to meet with you right then but couldn’t see you until Monday. When we did meet you explained the program to us in detail. We found out that there were some fees and costs that we would have to pay but when you told us what they were for it sounded like something that would really help us improve our credit and get a home of our choice right now. When you finished we wanted to start right away but we didn’t bring our checkbook with us. R. returned the next day to write the check and get going. It was actually hard to believe that anyone would offer us a deal like this. You introduced us to your realtor that day and she gave us a list of homes to look at. We found one that we liked. You made an offer for it and things didn’t quite work out or whatever and we continued looking. We found another one that looked good and you made another offer. We liked that you were making an effort to purchase the right kind of home of our choice for the right price so that when we were able to buy it later that we would have a pretty good chance of having some instant equity in the home. We could also see that you were going to take care of any major issues that the home might have like the roof, electrical systems or the structure so that we would not need to deal with this later. Actually, it was educational to watch exactly how you did that. Like I said R. is in construction and we want to work on our house and add some additional value to it. We would eventually like to live in a bigger, better home and maybe we will just fix up the home that our investor purchased for us and work with him to just sell it to someone else and collect the difference in value over what our option price is. Because your program can help us improve our credit we can probably qualify and make some money from the sale of our lease option home to help with the down payment. Like R. told you, we would eventually like to become one of your investors. The cool thing is that with your program we can really see how that is possible. It’s almost too good to be true but it all happened pretty much the way you explained it to us at the first meeting. You’re program is just awesome. It’s a good deal.
